Just started using QField and trying to improve accuracy. Is there anyway to connect a Columbus P-7 pro? I added it as a BLE device, but then it continues to get an error. Can I connect it directly and use TCP?

Have been looking on the forum and can’t find the information.

Hello @Mpg66170 !

I don’t have an iPhone, but according to [this page of the documentation](https://docs.qfield.org/ro/how-to/navigation-and-positioning/gnss/#using-an-external-gnss-receiver), there should be support in iOS for a TCP connection. When you press the ‘add’ button below the `Positioning Device in Use` dropdown, there is the option to create a new `TCP (NMEA)` connection.

What error do you get when using it with a BLE connection? I seem to remember from other topics on this thread that on iOS the only supported type of bluetooth connection is BLE, and not “classic” bluetooth.

I was trying to use Bluetooth

Maybe I should just try the TCP and see what happens.

Hi hi, currently it is not possible to connect an external GNSS device via bluetooth with IOS. This remains an obstacle with using IOS for now, which we are trying to solve.
@Mathieu_Pellerin will know more.
