How to do an offline package for QField

Dear users,

oftenly I work in areas with no internet connection. I try now to get a package for Qfield, that I can load on my mobile device.

In my project I have a couple of WMS, some files, an OpenStreetMap-Basemap and a PostGIS-layer.

You can see it in the screenshot:

Well, if I click on the button “package for Qfield” and after that on the “Create”-Button it loads and loads and loads, but nothing is happening.

Is there anything I have to do before? Is there a way to set a specific area for a Qfield-package?

Thank you very much, Kai

@KaiBehncke , for cable packaging, you can use the basemap functionality offered by QFieldSync. Basic documentation available here: Get Started - QField Ecosystem Documentation

Yes, I tried it with that documentation, but there is no package created. Even if I take a small geographic area it saves, and saves and saves (and all the time, there is the “sandclock”). I even uploaded QGIS to version 3.4, did not solve the problem.

I try it now manually with xyz-creating tiles. That seem to work.
