Osrm Routing Problem

Hello everyone,
I recently found the OSRM Routing Plugin in

I did manage to Install the Plugin (at least it is shown in my QField overwiev of my Plugins).
But unfortunately i am unable to find the promised functionality inside of qfield. The only thing available is the original “set as destination” navigation which is usable wifhout Plugin.
Can anybody tell my exactly how to obtain the updated navigation to a Point/Attribute with this Plugin?

Or did i misunderstand the description of the Plugin and there is No possibility to navigate exactly to a destination via streets?

Thank you so much!

Hi @V_Fa thanks for the question. You are right, the Read me file of this plugin is a bit sparse. I will ask the developer of this plugin.

@V_Fa , once the plugin is installed and activated, you’ll find a new routing bar sitting at the very top of the map canvas menu here:

The map canvas menu can be trigger by long-pressing on the map canvas. The start/mid/end routing point will be added on top of the location you’ve long-pressed.

Thank you so much for helping me out! The GitHub website is also updated now and i love the video!

Since i am completly unable to use the Plugin despite all your efforts i really think my flaw is in installing the Plugin?

Its the first Plugin i tried to install for Qfield… so sorry for not knowing how to get it to work.

I am just going to describe my steps for installing the Plugin. So somebody will maybe see my error.

1.Open QField
2.Open QField settings
3.Manage Plugins
4. Install Plugin from URL
5. Pasting the URL out of GitHub Releases page (https://github.com/opengisch/qfield-nominatim-locator/releases/download/v1.4/qfield-nominatim-locator-v1.4.zip)
6. Plugin is installed and activated (i think)

8. I open my project but the new routing bar does not exist.

So is the URL i use in trying to install the Plugin wrong?
Or are there more settings i didn’t change?
Thank you so much!

@Mathieu_Pellerin Your screenshot looks exactly like how i imagined the use of this plugin! So it would be wonderful if i could use it that way

Ah, that’s because you’re installing the wrong plugin  please install the QField OSRM routing plugin from the URL: https://github.com/opengisch/qfield-osrm/releases/download/v1.0/qfield-osrm-routing.zip

Oh wow. Thats funny.
It does actually work now. Perfect!!!
Thank you and have a lovely day!
