Hello,
we are a public-sector organization planning to equip multiple field inspection teams using QField. We are currently evaluating Android tablets (rugged and non-rugged).
In the past, there was a “certified / tested hardware” page on qfield.org, which seems to be no longer available.
Could you please advise:
-
which Android tablets are currently known to work reliably with QField in real field conditions,
-
whether models like Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 / Active5 are still recommended,
-
and if there is any maintained reference list or minimum hardware specification?
Thank you in advance.
Hello, I’ve found this link, maybe it’s the one you mention?
https://qfield.org/hardware/
Didn’t found a way to that link from inside the page, it just appeared on a web search. As for tablets, It only mentions the Active5.
Yes, that’s exactly the page I was referring to, thank you!
It indeed didn’t load for me earlier today, which is why I thought it might have been removed.
I was mainly wondering whether there is any more recent or maintained guidance on tested Android tablets for QField field work, beyond the Active5, especially based on real-world field usage over the years.
Any updates or community experience would be very helpful.
