QField and Fairphone 6

Does anyone have experience of using QField on the Fairphone 6. If so, how did it perform…

  • screen readability in bright sunlight
  • screen sensitivity to light rain
  • battery life
  • camera quality
  • Android or preferably, if it works murena e/os

Plus any other comments you may have.

P.S. I don’t want to use tablets because of the uniformly poorer cameras

I use QField on a Fairphone 6 running Murena /e/OS and all is good. I haven’t done as much work as on previous devices but it has been my only device since purchased a year ago now - generally with an ArduSimple rtk device

I try and avoid rain but it has been OK in a light shower

I have not used camera so much with QField on recent projects but it’s fine when I have and produces good images.

Hi, not sure how different is the FF6 compared to FF5, but I use QField on a FF5 with Murena /e/OS and I have the same feedback as fruit-github : everything works fine so far.

Last QField version works well with NavX RTK device also.

No issue with the rain usually. Battery is good, even if GPS + 5G can be tiring for the battery in any case.
