QFieldCloud rejected project creation: [api_error] API Error

I have been trying to create a project on QFieldCloud for two days and I keep getting this message: “QFieldCloud rejected project creation: [api_error] API Error”

I already had a project in the cloud, but I deleted it to upload this new one. For the last two days I haven’t been able to create this new project in cloud.

I tried to upload the project using the QGIS Versions 3.40.14, 3.42.3 and 3.44.6.

Could this be a limitation on my account?

Is QFieldCloud under maintenance?

What can I do?

just tried recently and had no problems uploading a new second and third project with a free account. Some things to check:

  1. Do you have the QField Sync plugin up to date?
  2. Do you have only one QGIS project in your folder?
  3. If you try to create a new project directly from the mobile app (instead of desktop QGIS), does it also fail?

I installed the QField Sync plugin along with QGIS 4 days ago, so it is up to date.

I created an empty project directly in the cloud, and then I uploaded my local project to this empty cloud project. This way it worked. However, when I try to create a cloud project directly from a local project, I get the api_error.

I also tried using different projects, including one with just a single geopackage file.

This is still very strange.

Is there any way to activate debug log messages in QFieldSync plugin?

hmm, no idea about the plugin itself, but here is how to check for both service and app problems.

Are you using .qgs (not .qgz) format for the project?
