Print form to PDF

Hi,

A lot of potential QField users are refraining from switching to QField because they are using an app allowing them to easily print PDFs from their completed forms. The final product looks like if someone filled a paper form. It is often asked, here in Quebec, to provide this king of form for each sampling station…

I think the solution might be more on the QGIS side, but I’d like to know if someone has worked towards creating this kind of PDF from forms ?

Thank you

@Territoires , you can easily do that by setting up an atlas print layout within your project in QGIS. When in the field, QField will allow you to generate a PDF from an identified atlas feature (incl. atlas features created in the field itself).

That’s what I had in mind. Have you done it ? Do you have an example to share ?

@Territoires , the sample bees farming project we ship in QField has an atlas configured against the fields layer. If you open that project, identify one field and open its form, you’ll see the print action is enabled and when triggered a PDF is generated with information on that specific field.

You can see its configuration in QGIS to guide you. The project is available in the QField repo here (QField/resources/sample_projects at master · opengisch/QField · GitHub).

OK Thanks,

This is not exactly what I had in mind (no map. just plain form). But it is the same product in some way and I understand that it is the confirmation I was searching for.
