Push changes not visible on QfieldCloud

Hi everyone,

I have a .shp layer with points in Qfield for IoS.

  1. I recently pushed all changes.
  2. Between fév. 2026 10:35 and 4 fév. 2026 15:48, any push seems to have disappeared. Not a single evidence of it in Qfield Cloud. How is it possible ?
  3. As I can still see the data on Qfield for IOS, how can I try to “repush them” or “get them out” ?

Thank you very much for your precious help.

In my experience, pushing changes, or “synchronising” from QGIS can override changes made to any file if you didn’t first pull the changes on the cloud from the desktop. So if anyone pushed an updated version from QGIS (desktop), that’s a possible way it could have happen.

Can you make an small addition to the .shp file on iOS to trick the system into allowing you to push the version you have there? Just in case, use the “push changes” button, not the (full) synchronisation one, to avoid getting the old/wrong version on your phone.

Thanks for the tip. I tried the small addition but it didn’t tricked the system. I just have my addition added to the false version on the Cloud (the correct one remains only on IoS)…

ouch, that’s unfortunate. Have you tried manually copying the files from your phone and make a “wire” transfer to your desktop? On Manual download from iPhone? the user @CPerm mentions a method using Airdrop, maybe this can help. I don’t have a iOS device myself, so I can’t try it.

We can’t copy the files via Airdrop or wire because these are not imported project (to be found on a local folder) but synchronized projects via Qfield Cloud. Thence, the only solution seems to do a complete back up of the phone and inspect it, in search of Qfield files, via external solutions like iMazing. QField team, your help is much awaited to solve this historical problem (either by repushing local data or allowing the share via button on the Phone interface).

have you tried going to Qfield’s main menu > QfieldCloud projects (blue cloud icon) > Three dots icon to the right of your project’s name > View Project Folder > three dots icon to the right of your .shp file > Send to… ?

At least on android, I have this way of at least sending a particular file on a project to another device.
